Scope, on purpose

What we deliberately do not do

A shorter list than the feature list, and more useful. Each of these is a decision with a reason behind it, not a gap waiting to be filled.

  • We do not fix anythingNo pull requests, no CMS integration, no code written on our infrastructure. The agency owns the fix plane. A tool that both prescribes and implements has no independent measurement of its own work.
  • We do not hide a failed verdictThere is no setting for it. Removing the failures removes the reason to believe the wins, and anyone reading it works that out faster than you would like.
  • We are not a rank trackerPosition comes from your own Search Console. We do not scrape search results, and placement inside an AI answer is reported in its own unit rather than dressed up as a rank.
  • We do not resell keyword or backlink dataEvery number is our crawl, your own Google data, or a paid read of a public surface that is specifically about you.
  • We do not aggregate dashboardsNo Ads, no Analytics, no social, no call tracking. That category exists and is good at it.
  • We do not score an answer we could not getA failed call is excluded from every denominator rather than counted as you going unmentioned. Our outage is never published as your zero.
  • We do not gate the crawl behind ownership proofCrawling a public site needs no permission, and demanding verification first would stop you evaluating a prospect. Search Console data is not public, so that does require the client to grant read-only access.

Where the line moved

AI visibility used to be on this list, as a category we thought was measured dishonestly. It came off after the argument was written down rather than assumed: the measurement is real, buyers do use those surfaces, and the objection turned out to be to how the category reports it rather than to the thing itself.

So it came back with a standard attached — every answer stored, failures excluded from denominators, no verdict until the variance is known — and it is now half of what we sell. That is the bar for anything else joining the product. Not whether we can build it, but whether we can build it so the number traces to something we stored and is allowed to come back negative.
