What Looker Studio is for
Looker Studio connects to Search Console and plots it, free, with as much customisation as you have patience for. Most agencies have a template they clone per client.
What Rankelle is for
A Search Console chart shows movement, not cause. We construct the comparison: a frozen set of comparable untouched URLs at the moment a fix lands, measured over the same window as the affected ones.
Where they overlap
Search Console data. Ours is synced for impact ranking and for measurement rather than for display, and the dashboard is not where it is meant to be read.
Running both
- Keep the Looker Studio report for trend and coverage questions.
- Add the ledger where the question is whether a specific change did anything.
- Notice which sections of the dashboard nobody asks about once the verdicts are on the table.
Why can a dashboard not do this?
Because the control set has to be chosen at the moment a fix lands and then frozen. It depends on knowing when the defect stopped being detectable, which requires a crawl history, not a chart.
Do you replace the Search Console connection?
No. We read it with your read-only grant and never write to it, and you can keep every other tool connected at the same time.
